Neoprene was invented in 1930 by DuPont scientists. It was in the 1950s that two Californian brothers who were fond of surfing found out that neoprene was a perfect material for keeping them warm in the water, and after a while the first wetsuits were manufactured. Later its use was extended to the entire sports world. Neoprene is a synthetic porous rubber. Technical properties: elastic; ladder-proof; cutting and crushing resistant; resistant to weather and heat.
